A mysterious, ancient force of interstellar scientists who use psychic abilities to unravel enemies’ minds, the Genetic Architects lead forces of ‘Rebirths’ –immortal clone synthetics– and other strange creations to defend forgotten research facilities scattered throughout the cosmos. Perhaps the first sentient humanoid species, the Omegas were old when many stars were young. Their scientific curiosity knew no bounds, and they explored every corner of the universe via manufactured void gates, eventually encountering the entities of parallel dimensions and coming to understand the secrets of creation.

These experiences changed the Omegas, greatly expanding their view of reality, and they became inspired to add to the great tapestry. Their knowledge had advanced beyond science, and their society became entirely focused on sharing all they had learned –yet they were alone. Undaunted, the Genetic Architects began making new life. For millennia the Omegas seeded countless systems with new species shaped in their image.

They yearned only for one of their creations to mature into their equals. Some survived against all odds to the present, while others lasted for only a cosmic moment having never even learned of their creators. Meanwhile, having reached the penultimate end of their own evolution, and finding no more great mysteries to solve, the Omegas gradually lost interest in maintaining their own physical lives. They knew no fear of death, for they had long since touched the beyond. As their numbers dwindled, the Omegas began to develop various immortal synthetics; beings which could never evolve, but were capable of continuing their great scientific mission forever.

These were all crowning achievements of genetic crafting, but they would never surpass the Xenomorphs. With their true origin lost to history, it’s unclear if they were created by the Omegas or discovered and expanded upon. Considered to be the perfect life-form, they were emotionless, tireless, and able to adapt to an infinite range of physical circumstances. Now, untold centuries later, the Omega’s most tenacious descendants follow blindly in their footsteps. Feigning humility, Humanity reaches out to the stars and demands satisfaction. After the discovery of an ancient Omega void gate on earth, nothing could stop human ‘progress’.
