The Legend of the Powder Wight

The sea whispers secrets. The wind howls with ghosts. And among the cursed, none are as feared as the Powder Wight.

For those who sail the tabletop seas, this undead pirate is more than just a resin miniature—it’s a story, a nightmare, a force of dread. Every player who has fielded this figure in battle knows its haunting presence. But few know the legend behind it.

Witness to the Curse

I first encountered the Powder Wight during a tournament at my local gaming store. It was an eerie, sculpted masterpiece—its skeletal grin frozen in time, its tattered coat still billowing with an unseen wind. The moment it hit the board, a hush fell over the players.

It wasn’t just a miniature. It was a presence.

My opponent, a seasoned Resin Armies collector, had spent weeks painting every ghastly detail—the hollow sockets, the rusted cutlass, the eerie blue glow of its spectral eyes. When the battle began, it moved across the field like a shadow. My units crumbled. My strategy collapsed. The Powder Wight did not falter. It was like fighting something beyond the grave.

And then, the dice sealed my fate. A single roll. A critical hit. My last defender fell, and the Powder Wight stood victorious.

The Pirate’s Curse

Legend says the Powder Wight was once Captain Rengrave, a ruthless marauder who ruled the seas with iron and fire. He was feared by sailors, cursed by sorcerers, and betrayed by his own crew. When his ship, The Black Marrow, sank beneath the storm, he should have perished.

But the sea does not forget.

He rose from the depths, his body twisted by salt and sorcery. His once-proud coat, now torn and ragged. His flesh, reduced to bone. Yet his wrath remained.

Now, he lingers in resin form, haunting the tabletops of those daring enough to wield his power.

The Power of the Powder Wight

Owning a Powder Wight miniature is not just about strategy—it’s about commanding a legend. Every sculpted detail captures the essence of a vengeful pirate. Whether you paint it in eerie blues, deathly greens, or ghostly whites, this figure commands attention on the battlefield.

  • Dynamic pose – Frozen mid-stride, cutlass ready to strike.
  • Haunting details – From the tattered coat to the exposed ribs.
  • Tactical power – A game-changer in undead and pirate armies.
